Although WCPSS board policy prohibits school athletics for sixth graders, students will have opportunities to take physical education and healthful living electives. In addition, each team will have a scheduled exercise period.

Wendell Middle School will offer the same athletic programs for seventh graders as other middle schools.

All students must have a
Middle School Athletic Participation Form.

Fall sports are cheerleading, football, girls' soccer, and girls' volleyball.

Winter sports are cheerleading and basketball.

Spring sports are boys' soccer, track, girls' softball.

There are eligibility requirements for inclusion on teams. Students must meet promotion standards, maintain passing grades, and demonstrate good sportsmanship and citizenship.
